Order of Detention issued in Virginia stabbing
An Order of Detention has been issued for Jordan Lee Raati, 32, of Virginia for an alleged knife assault incident on Wednesday, August 14. The complaint includes three charges; Aggravated Robbery-1st Degree, Assault-2nd Degree-Dangerous Weapon, and Assault-2nd Degree-Dangerous Weapon.
Raati is accused of cutting and stabbing one male individual and cutting one female individual over a dispute regarding a puppy. Raati is also accused of taking a puppy from the two individuals.
“During a Mirandized statement, RAATI stated that he went to Adult Male A’s residence to return Adult
Female B’s dog to her,” reads a portion of the criminal complaint. “RAATI said that Adult Male A and Adult Female B then attacked him, and held a knife to his neck. RAATI said he was then able to get away and ran out of the apartment. When he did so, he said that one of Adult Male A’s dogs followed him.”
The criminal complaint also states Raati has four prior convictions for other incidents in 2024, 2020, 2019, and 2015.
