Owner of Glen’s Army Navy speaks out about hateful calls

The owner of Glen's Army Navy said they needed to get law enforcement involved, after threatening calls to the store.

Rusty Eichorn is speaking out about the hateful calls his staff have been fielding at Glen’s Army Navy, after the arrest of his nephew, Justin.

People have been calling and threatening the store in Grand Rapids after Justin was arrested for allegedly soliciting a minor for sex earlier this week.

One of Justin’s Facebook pages lists him working at Glen’s. But that is outdated information, according to Rusty.

“He’s been gone for almost a decade and I’ve been sole owner since 2016. People have gotten ahold of this from across the country, and are making threatening and harassing phone calls to my staff. I like to protect them, but this is out of my control. So we had to get law enforcement involved,” Rusty said.

Despite that, he’s seen a flood of positive comments and support on the store’s Facebook page as well. “It’s been overwhelming and humbling,” he shared.

Like others, he was shocked by the news about Justin’s arrest.

The now former state senator has resigned his seat.
