Do you ever see a photograph so beautiful while your scrolling on line that you just stop and say, wow!?

Often it’s a photo posted on the website or facebook page, or instagram account of Destination Duluth. Their purpose is to educate and inspire people about the the beauty of Duluth. Tonight Destination Duluth held it’s annual photographers appreciation event.

Jerry Thoreson says Destination Duluth took in the content of 150 photographers last year and featured them. “Last year those images were seen over 88-million times by people around the world on the Destination Duluth facebook page,” Thoreson said. “That’s 240-thousand a day,” he said with a smile. “All of them, pictures about Duluth and the north shore compelling people to come and visit.”

One local photographer, Dennis O’hara received a special honor in a life time achievement award for his years of contributions to Destination Duluth’s efforts.

This is the 4th annual photographers appreciation gala. Congratulations to all who got recognized and thank you for sharing your remarkable images with the rest of us year after year.
