Crews restore power to mall area, Hermantown

A power outage by the mall area and in Hermantown affected traffic and shopping for a few hours in the morning.
Stoplights by the mall along a portion of Highway 53 were out.
A check of the outage map on Minnesota Power’s website said they had an outage impacting about 1000 customers in the Duluth, Piedmont Heights, Duluth Heights, and Hermantown area, around 10:30am.
