Larry Hopkins wins race for Itasca County Commissioner Dist. 4
Pat Medure and Larry Hopkins are running for the Itasca County Commissioner District 6 seat.
Residents in Itasca County head to the polls on April 8 for a Special Election for County Commissioner District 4. The seat was held by Commissioner Burl Ives, who died prior to the November election. Residents made a strong push to reelect Commissioner Ives, triggering the special election Tuesday.
Pat Medure is a former Itasca County Sheriff and is a current member of the ISD 318 School Board. Larry Hopkins is a business owner, operating Hopkins Electric and Bixby’s Cafe.
On February 11, Medure and Hopkins received the top votes in the special primary election. There were five candidates vying for the seat, also including Dick Sackett, Robert Preble, and Daniel Chase.
