Registration open for new Lake Park wiffle ball program
Let’s play ball! Lake Park Baseball is excited to announce a new wiffle ball league for the youngest players.
The Little Boppers Wiffle Ball program is designed to serve the needs of the newest players of the game, with a fun introduction for kids who have never played.
The program has been revamped and moved to a two-night per week model, that combines basic skill introduction and fun wiffle ball games. Each session begins with throwing, hitting, and fielding mechanics while using wiffle balls, tennis balls, and soft baseballs. Players and coaches then get to play a game of wiffle ball!
“We’re excited to offer this new program to our youngest players,” said Corey Kemp, Lake Park Baseball President. “Our Little Boppers program is the perfect way for kids to get introduced to the sport of baseball while having a blast. We believe that learning the fundamentals of the game while having fun is the best way to get kids excited about the sport.”
Kids will need to bring their own baseball glove, but a wiffle ball bat will be provided to each player.
Tentative game nights will be Mondays and Wednesdays starting May 31st, running through July. The program is recommended for kids ages four to six years old.
Registration is now open. Adults can sign their kids by visiting the Lake Park Baseball website, or reach out to the organization directly. Spaces are limited.
