Rock Ridge students supporting 15th Annual Swedish meatball dinner for Care Partners
Soon you can get your fill of Swedish meatballs and so much more.
The 15th annual Swedish Meatball Dinner for Care Partners is coming up.
It’s Wednesday at Rock Ridge High School, from 3:30-6:30pm.
Dine-in, curbside, or drive-thru options are available. Tickets are $15.
This year, students from Culinary Arts classes are making the mashed potatoes and two types of cookies, pumpkin snickerdoodle and apple cider cheesecake.
Instructor Jade Andrie shared, “They get to make test batches, and make decisions about recipes. And then they get to make large batches, making the same thing over and over again.”
Other Rock Ridge leaders, like Willie Spelts, said it’s a win-win. “We’re very excited to have our kids be a part of giving back to the community, especially since community has given so much to us.”
Care Partners supports people on the Range who have cancer or life-limiting illnesses. Executive Director Tasia Hoag said, “We are thrilled to be working with the students at Rock Ridge.”
