Roger Reinert says he will not seek any political party endorsement
Duluth mayoral candidate Roger Reinert has announced that he will not seek any political party endorsements in his run for Duluth mayor.
Reinert said in a statement that “the office of mayor is intended to be non-partisan, and the endorsement that matters most to me is that of everyday Duluthians.”
Reinert also stated that his decision was consistent with the broad spectrum of political perspectives already involved in the campaign, and his history as a Founder of the Purple Caucus in the Minnesota Senate.
The top two vote getters in the August 8th primaries will move on to the general election on November 7th regardless of party labels, or no labels.
