Rounding-up at the register benefits veterans

Super One’s July register pin-pad campaign for the Local VFW Post #137 and American Legion Post #71 was a success. Shoppers donated $19,318 thousands dollars across nine Duluth Super One Foods & Liquor locations.

These dollars were split evenly between the two veterans’ organizations.

Allen Young, the Post Commander VFW Post 137, told WDIO at Thursday’s check presentation that Super One has been an incredible supporter of their, “We come to them every year, and the support given to the veterans has been unreal.”

Bob Stephen, the House Chairman of the legion, echoed the gratitude for SuperOne and the shoppers, “There’s a lot of people in the community that really appreciate the veterans. As you could see recently on Memorial Day- Grand Avenue was just packed, and they come out a lot to Post 71 to support us.”

“I’d just like to thank Super One and Miners Inc. for even thinking of us.”

The pin-pad campaign ran from June 28 through July 15, 2024.
