Saturday morning garage fire in Eveleth
A fire caused extensive damage to a garage in Eveleth (Northland FireWire).
At around 11 am Saturday morning, a fire was reported in the alley in the 800 block of Summit Street in Eveleth.
According to the Northland FireWire, the fire was contained to a garage’s interior but caused extensive damage. No injuries were reported.
The Eveleth, Fayal, Gilbert, Virginia, and Mountain Iron fire departments responded to the scene. The Eveleth Ambulance Service provided medical standby, and the Eveleth and Gilbert police departments assistant in traffic control.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
