Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputy arrested following criminal allegations

On Thursday, September 21^st, 2023, Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office Administration learned of allegations of possible domestic abuse by a Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputy.  Due to the nature of the allegations the Polk County Sheriff’s Office was asked to investigate.

During the initial investigation, Polk County Investigators had probable cause to believe that the deputy allegedly committed several crimes including Domestic Battery, False Imprisonment, Strangulation & Suffocation and Stalking. 

The deputy was arrested and is currently being held in jail. An initial appearance in court has yet to be determined. The case remains under investigation by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
