Second Annual Great Skate postponed again

UPDATE: The board of directors with the Portman Amateur Hockey Association announced Friday that they would be postponing the their second annual Great Skate again.

The Great Skate is now scheduled for Friday, January 12, 2024.

The event was originally scheduled for December 16 and was then rescheduled from January 5, 2024 due to weather.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Portman Amateur Hockey Association announced Thursday that the Second Annual Great Skate originally scheduled for December 16 will have to be postponed.

“Despite Portman Amateur Hockey Association’s optimism around being able to put on their second annual “Great Skate” event, mother nature is proving to be too difficult,” explained Keith Johnson.

The event has been rescheduled to January 5, 2024 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.

All proceeds for the event benefit Portman Hockey and help cover costs for equipment, facilities, and more.
