Semi crash kills one in Koochiching County

Friday night, a driver was killed in Koochiching County after traveling on the intersection near Highway 11 at County Road 4.

A semitruck was travelling east on on Highway 11 near County Road 4 while a Mazda Tribute was travelling south from Frontier Public Landing.

The Mazda failed to yield right of way and the semi struck the Mazda on the passenger side.

The victim was a 72-year-old man from Baudette, Minnesota. The driver of the semi sustained no injuries in the crash.
