An exciting moment for the Bantam B1 hockey team from Rock Ridge, as they headed to the state tournament in Proctor.

A send-off for them around 12:30 on Friday included a police and fire escort out of town.

“We are going to anticipate, like coach says,” shared assistant captain Zach Sirotiak.

Captain Nico Lenci weighed in too. “I’m excited, and a little nervous,” he said. “The guys work hard, and listen to coach.”

And another assistant captain, Carson Robinson, added, “These are a special group of guys, who’ve become like a family.”

They played Farmington at 4pm, and won 2-1!

The Iron Trail Motors Event Center in Virginia is hosting the Bantam A tournament. Grand Rapids is hosting the Bantam AA team.
