Shots fired in Superior neighborhood, investigation continues through the day

At around 12:30 a.m. on Friday, Superior officers received a report of shots fired near North 58^th Street and Baxter Avenue, in the City of Superior. Authorities say at least one house was struck by gunfire. No injuries have been reported, and no further gunshots have been reported.

The emergency response team asked people to shelter in place early this morning but they have since completed their activities and cleared from the scene.

According to an update on the Superior Police Department’s Facebook page, authorities do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the community. There will be a police presence in the area for the day.

There is no current suspect or motivation at this time.
