Spirit Mountain’s Ski and Snowboard Swap returns

The Spirit Mountain Ski and Snowboard Swap returned for another season Thursday night. Spirit Mountain partnered with several local businesses including Ski Hut, Continental Ski and Bike and Team Duluth to put on the event. It served as a way to make outdoor recreational sports more affordable for residents in the Twin Ports area.

Part of the money raised from the event will go towards funding Team Duluth. The money supports the team traveling for events, hosting competitions and more. Team Duluth’s mission developing on-snow skills and personal growth in young athletes. As a nonprofit, volunteer run organization, Team Duluth coach kids’ skills in alpine race, freestyle, and snowboarding.

Gear drop off will continue through Friday and people will be able to swap gear Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Those who donate and do not sell equipment can pick up their items Sunday from 12pm to 2pm.
