St. Louis County checks their voting machines ahead of special election
The St. Louis County Auditor finished the public accuracy test for their voting equipment on Wednesday April 9th ahead of the upcoming special election.
May 13th is the Special Election for Unorganized Township 63-17, where residents will be voting if they should be an organized township or not.
The St. Louis County auditor did their public accuracy test on their voting machines today ahead of the special election for unorganized township 63-17.
County staff and election judges were there to make sure everything was working smoothly. They’ve already done a preliminary test on the voting machines, but this test was open to the public.
“Main goal of this test is to allow the public to come in and observe the process,” said Phil Chapman the deputy auditor elections manager. “Ensuring that our machines are tabulating the votes and counting them correctly.”
They are required to perform a public accuracy test of their voting equipment before any election using the equipment.
