St. Louis County Historical Society host 2022 Remembrance dinner
The St. Louis County Historical Society hosted their 2022 Remembrance dinner Wednesday evening. Held in the Great Hall of the St. Louis County Depot, the event honored veterans and those currently active in the military. The evening also took a moment to remember those who lost their lives during the December 7th attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941.
The dinner featured keynote speaker Brigadier General Daniel Gabrielli. Brig. Gen. Gabrielli spoke about leading Operation Allies Welcome, which managed the resettlement of over seven thousand Afghan refugees. The event also hosted the awarding of the Mike Colalillo Medal of Honor Scholarship. The scholarship gives $15,000 to a St. Louis County high school senior or college student.
