Third time’s the charm for the thank you lunch for the public health staff and volunteers who helped during the pandemic.
St. Louis County hosted the event on Tuesday at the same public works garage where there was a vaccine clinic for months.
Amy Bugge was one of those volunteers who helped administer vaccines. “It felt good to give back to the community. More shots in arms helped us all.”
She and about 80 others donated 9300 hours to help public safety staff.
The first two dates for the lunch had to be postponed because cases had been rising.
Tuesday‘s event included activities like Pin the Vaccine, bean bags, and sharing positives about the pandemic.
Plaques to honor their service included a little empty vial where vaccine had been.
Leaders served up Rich’s Cuisine catering, and Love Creamery donated ice cream.
