St. Louis River Flood Warning issued for the Scanlon area

The National Weather Service in Duluth MN has issued a Flood Warning for the St. Louis River at Scanlon, affecting northeastern Carlton County and southern St. Louis County.

The Flood Warning is in place now until Monday at 4:00pm.

At 8:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 10.0 feet. The Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet. The river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening to a crest of 10.7 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening.
