Folks from across the state who love to ride ATVs are enjoying the trails on the Iron Range this weekend.
The ATV MN Ride & Rally State ATV Convention is underway.
Friday was the President’s Ride from Giants Ridge to Virginia and then back.
It was a chance to invite and recognize many of the leaders who help support the sport.
“Building trails is challenging and expensive,” shared ATV MN President Ron Potter. “We need to make sure we provide opportunities for this sport to be sustainable. And we need help from the legislature and other leaders. This is a way to show them what we do with our funding.”
Craig Pellin, from South Metro ATV Club, said, “It’s been phenomenal. The trails are in excellent condition. We try and go on one ride a month. And these events are critical to the future of the sport.”
Saturday there will be plenty of riding, and then a banquet.
Sunday is the business meeting.
