Stepping forward at the 2024 Walk for Thought

Community members gathered in Proctor on Saturday to meet and support those with brain injuries for the annual Walk for Thought event and fundraiser.

The Walk for Thought event is held every year by the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance, which is an organization that aims to support those in the community who have brain injuries and help direct them to resources for any of their needs.

“There’s lots of people in Proctor and Duluth who also have brain injuries, and a lot of those folks are here today. And it can be difficult in greater Minnesota finding that care and support and community. And this is just an opportunity for everyone to come together to find that support and gather together,” said Katrina Meyer, public relations associate for the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance.

The Walk for Thought aims to bring those from the area with brain injuries together, along with community members who look to support the cause. Proceeds raised from the event will go back to funding programs that support those throughout Minnesota with brain injuries.
