Still chugging along after 50 years

Chief meteorologist Justin Liles practically got the whole day off Friday!
He spent most of the afternoon riding the pizza train. He jumped on the North Shore scenic railroad and chugged up the shore. He got to help celebrate a pretty big accomplishment for the railroad.
Ken Buehler, Executive Director of the railroad told us, “This is our 50th anniversary year of the railroad museum. And as part of the celebration, we’re recognizing the fact that over the years, it’s been the volunteers that have made all this possible, the volunteers that restore all the equipment that’s on display, the volunteers that run the train that you’re going to be riding on tonight. That’s an all volunteer operation. And without hundreds of volunteers, the railroad museum and the North Shore Scenic Railroad would cease to exist.”
Justin admitted, it was a pretty fun assignment, but he did the weather live from the moving train in our evening news casts so he actually did work. We think we’ll keep him.
