Structure fire in Duluth

On Monday at 5:41 pm, Duluth Fire was called to a possible structure fire on the 900 block of West Fourth Street. Crews arrived at the multi-story, single-family home to find flames through the second-story roof.

Crews from Headquarters, Lincoln Park, and Spirit Valley knocked down the fire within minutes of arrival. The fire had burned from the second-story ceiling into the attic.

No residents were displaced as a result of the fire, and no injuries were reported. The residence was under renovation at the time of the fire. Damage is estimated at $50,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Duluth Fire Marshal’s office. DFD would like to thank its partners at Duluth Police, St. Louis County Emergency Services, Comfort Systems, and Minnesota Power for their work on the incident.
