“Stu’s Cruise for a Cause” starts at the Bong Veterans Center
“Stu’s Cruise for a Cause” started at Legion 435 Bong Veterans Historic Center on Thursday June 27th. This is the Bong Veterans Historic Center’s American Legion Post 435’s first time hosting the starting point for the Wisconsin American Legion Riders’ ride, Stu’s Cruise for a Cause.
Stu’s Cruise for a Cause is a three-day event aimed at raising funds for the Wisconsin American Legion Troop & Family Support Fund and the American Legion Auxiliary Homeless Women’s Veterans Grant Fund. The Troop & Family Support Fund aids active-duty members, qualifying veterans, and their immediate families, covering needs such as home and auto repairs, home accessibility updates, and essential service bills. The ALA Homeless Women’s Veterans Grant Fund offers one-time grants to Wisconsin female veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
The Riders will begin their journey from Legion Post 435 and visit 15 other posts throughout Wisconsin, marking the first time the northland will host the American Legion Riders.
Donations from the public can be dropped off at Legion Post 435. Contributions will directly support the veteran support programs mentioned above.
