Superior High School honors 2023 Hall of Fame inductees

The Superior Academic and Athletic Hall of Fame is welcoming nine inductees into its hall. Hall of Fame weekend began Friday with the inductees being honored at halftime of the Spartan’s football game.

“It feels great. Our team was honored in 2007. Our team was inducted into the Hall of Fame, but to be inducted as an individual, it means a lot,” said 2023 Inductee Rob Moodie. “I’m an old guy now, but I’m excited, I’m honored, and it’s really nice to be able to come back and see some old friends and talk a little bit about how good we used to be.”

Those honored include:

• Erica (Johnson) McDonald (2019)
• Nikki (McGinnis) Weichert (2020)
• Larry Banks (2022)
• Robert Moodie (2022)
• 2007 12 Year Old Sup. All Stars (2017)
• Casey Lozon (2023)
• Ken Olson (2023)

The Hall of Fame weekend will continue Saturday with a Spartan Day golf scramble at Nemadji Golf Course. Those interested must contact the clubhouse. Tee times are available between 9 am and noon.

Superior High School will host the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on September 23rd. The doors will open at 4:30 p.m. Guests must register online in advance and be treated to a dinner, a raffle, and the official induction ceremony.
