Support a retired police officer as he battles an aggressive form of cancer
A longtime police officer in Duluth is now battling an aggressive form of cancer.
Andy Mickus served his community for 26 years with the Duluth Police Department.
“He went above and beyond, and held many positions,” his friend and former coworker Lt. Ken Zwak shared. “But more importantly, he’s a great husband and dad.”
Now Mickus is dealing with the diagnosis of an aggressive form of lymphoma. Treatment means time at the Mayo Clinic.
“He’s a father of three, and his wife Lisa is also a former police officer,” Zwak said. “There’s no give up in him.”
A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family.
