A new way to support veterans includes a fancy night out at Greysolon.

The 23rd Veteran Winter Gala is coming up on Friday, December 6th.

Money raised will support the programming, which includes 23V Recon. It’s a wilderness excursion, plus physical fitness and positive psychology sessions.

Bryan Maslowski, an Air Force veteran, attended one four years ago. He’s now a board member for 23rd Veteran. “It completely changed me, it completely lifted weight off my shoulders I didn’t know was there,” he told us.

This first ever gala will give people a chance to hear from veterans like Bryan, and their families.

Sarah Herrick-Smisek is a 23rd Veteran team member, and helping organize the event. “With the holiday season, it’s a great way to be thinking how to give back to a community organization, especially since they give back to local veterans,” she said.
