Taconite Trail reopens after 20 acre wildfire near Ely

The Taconite Trail in Northern Minnesota has reopened after a 20 acre wildfire burned through portions of it up near Ely.
The fire started on Saturday in the late afternoon. Air and ground crews were able to contain the fire by Saturday evening.
Sunday, fire teams were still actively putting out hot spots and a representative from the Minnesota DNR says firefighters will continue to patrol the 20 acres affected.
