Taconite woman dies in crash off Highway 169

The State Patrol is investigating a fatal crash from Monday evening.
According to the patrol, an 87-year-old Taconite woman was on County Road 15, and attempted to cross Highway 169.
Authorities said she failed to yield to oncoming traffic, and was hit by a car coming north on 169.
That driver is a 16-year-old from Nashwauk. He has non-life threatening injuries, according to the patrol.
