Three suspects in custody after early morning shooting in Calumet
Two people are being treated for gunshot wounds after a shooting in Calumet. One person is at Grand Itasca, and the other is in Duluth.
The Itasca County Sheriff’s office said they responded in the early morning hours on Monday.
They said three suspects are in custody, and they do not believe the public is in danger. The firearm they believe was used has been recovered by authorities.
The statement went on to say, “The safety of our community is our top priority, and we are committed to ensuring that all necessary resources are dedicated to this investigation.”
Other agencies that responded include the Minnesota BCA, Coleraine Police, Grand Rapids Police, Nashwauk Police, and the Minnesota State Patrol.
