Town of Parkland mourns longtime fire chief

Longtime Parkland Volunteer Fire Chief John Erickson has passed away on January 2, 2025 after a brief illness.
John was a a dedicated employee of the Town of Parkland for 33 years, starting in 1991.
In a Facebook post from the department they say that Erickson was a big help in raising funds for the volunteer fire department. He also helped out other organizations to make the town better.
To share memories of John, The family will be hosting a “John Erickson Parting Packer Party” get together at the Parkland Town Hall, 6221 E. Veterans Drive, South Range (Parkland) on Sunday, January 19, 2025, beginning at 1:00 p.m – 5:00 p.m.
