Trees of Hope and MN Adult & Teen Challenge: Finding freedom through past trauma
Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge (MNTAC) is a program that aims to help those in the Northland struggling with addiction. This is part of their mission.
The Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge assists both adults and teens find themselves and freedom from addictions to substances like drugs and alcohol, or other life-controlling problems in their lives by addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs – transforming their lives for the better.
We see just 360 transformations where if you had seen them the day they walked in and see them the day they left, you don’t even recognize the person. And so, when someone is able to overcome their traumas, their guilt, their shame, it exposes the person that they were always meant to be. And they go on to live lives that are just incredible. They become the heroes of society, truly, because they take everything that they’ve been through and they use it for good,” said MNATC treatment director Emma Barr.
The MNATC Northland campus, located in Duluth, offers outpatient recovery options for men and women, along with residential programs for adult men.
