Rep. Natalie Zeleznikar, (R) Fredenberg Township, has introduced three bills that would support workforce development for area students.
The first bill would create training for Lake and Cook County students who want to learn how to be EMTs.
The second bill is about funding software for middle schoolers in Duluth, so they can explore more career paths virtually.
And the third is about creating a Career and Tech Ed Center of Excellence that would serve Proctor, Hermantown, and Esko.
Each bill calls for less than $200,000 for each program. “I think the outcome could be monumental, and bring tremendous value to our region,” Zeleznikar said.
Testimony on the bills took place on Wednesday.
