Two juveniles with gunshot, stab wounds in overnight Bennett Park incident

Hibbing Police say two juveniles were taken to the hospital overnight with serious injuries related to a possible shooting incident in Bennett Park.

HPD says officers were dispatched just before 2:00am Wednesday morning for the sounds of multiple gunshots.

On scene, one juvenile had a single gunshot wound to his abdomen. He has life threatening injuries, and is being treated at Aspirus St. Luke’s.

A second juvenile was found in the park with stab wounds. He has been treated, and is now in custody.

Police say the two juveniles are associated with each other. The investigation remains ongoing.

Bennett Park is still open for regular public use.
