UMD hosts spring Undergraduate Research Showcase
UMD presented their spring 2023 Undergraduate Research Showcase in the Kirby Ballroom and the Garden Room Tuesday evening. The free showcase provided a way for the public to hear from UMD students about their chosen research projects. Topics ranged from bacteria in Lake Superior to a look into graffiti in Duluth. In total, there were 36 poster presentations in the Kirby Ballroom and eight presentations in the Garden Room.
Every fall and spring, UMD provides any undergraduate student who has completed a research or artistic project the opportunity to showcase their project at the UMD Undergraduate Research and Artistic Showcase.
UMD’s UROP offers financial support for students to work with a faculty advisor on their scholarly or creative work research. These students have worked the whole semester on their projects and are ready to share their findings to the public. Each poster presentation highlights the student’s involvement in the program.
