UWS hosts ribbon cutting for new Superior Choice Credit Union Stadium

The University of Wisconsin Superior (UWS) hosted a ribbon cutting for the new Superior Choice Credit Union Stadium on Friday October 11th.

The new stadium features a new video score board, new surfaces both track and turf, and a fan zone with will be a family-oriented space.

The project was a 6-year process from start to finish and UWS hopes the stadium will do more than just benefit their athletic teams.

“We really think that this is a facility of opportunity and it’s going to support more than just our athletic teams, it will also support recreational opportunities for all students,” said Nick Bursik UWS Director of athletics. “We’re really excited as a campus to see the impact that it will have and the opportunities it will help generate. But we also know too that it also can benefit the community. And we really are looking forward to partnering with some community-based organizations to help ensure that the stadium is in use almost all year round. “
