The LiveWell initiative is partnering with the University of Wisconsin Superior's Pruit Center for Mindfulness and Well-Being to expand their work.

The LiveWell initiative is partnering with the University of Wisconsin Superior’s Pruit Center for Mindfulness and Well-Being to expand their work.

LiveWell was started two years ago by faculty at the University of Wisconsin Superior and was funded by the Miller Dwan Foundation.

The major goal of LiveWell is to provide events and activities for people to attend to encourage community building with can grow emotional resilience.

So far LiveWell has hosted 141 events with over 1,100 participants. They say when you get people together, community building is easy.

“What we’re finding is that if we can provide opportunities that are fun that they might not do on their own then the connection kind of happens naturally,” said Lynn Goerdt the Coordinator of the LiveWell initiative.

LiveWell used to go by LiveWell Northern Wisconsin but decided to drop “Northern Wisconsin” because they are expanding their reach and hope to impact more of the Northland including Minnesota.
