Vehicle veers into ditch, strikes power pole

At around 5:40 P.M. Monday, July 17th, a man was involved in a single vehicle crash in Morse Township, Ely when his truck went off the roadway into the ditch and struck a power pole. 27 year old William Fearn was the driver and the only person in the truck.

St. Louis County Sheriff’s deputies along with Morse Fire and First Responders, Ely Police Department, and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash. William Fearn was pronounced dead at the scene.
