Veterans receive free dental services during Freedom Day USA at Virginia Family Dental

Virginia Family Dental is proud to be participating in their 6th annual Freedom Day USA. It’s a national event where dental practices provide free dental services to veterans in the area.

“This is our favorite day of the year. We all look forward to it,” shared Nicole Palo, the Operations Manager.

Dr. Michael Miskovich told us that he found out about this from a flyer, and it’s really taken off. “The vets really enjoy it. They like to share stories. And we rally and really deliver care this day,” he told us.

Other dental professionals came over to help as well.

Rick Randa is a Navy veteran from Hoyt Lakes who had an appointment on Thursday. “To me, it makes me feel good. Now I want to volunteer more and give back.”

He found out about the Freedom Day when he stopped in to find out if he could get an appointment a few weeks ago.

Other businesses donated gift cards and other goodies, and the vets also received a T-shirt.

Virginia Family Dental is the only one in the state of Minnesota to be part of the program. But they are hoping other practices want to join in.
