Vice President Kamala Harris calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza

In a press conference and then in a video posted on her social media, Vice President Kamala Harris is calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza for at least the next six weeks. Stating that a deal is, “currently on the table.”
She mentions that, “this will get the hostages out and get a significant amount of aid in.” The Vice President follows up with saying, “this would allow us to build something more enduring, to ensure Israel is secure. And to respect the right of the Palestinian people, to dignity, freedom, and self determination.”
