Virginia Police: Stabbing over puppy dispute
Virginia Police responded to a stabbing overnight/early Wednesday morning.
When officers responded at 1:16 a.m. to the 200 block of Third Street, they found a 51-year-old man who was stabbed multiple times and 44-year-old woman who had a cut on the forehead.
The suspect, a 32-year-old man, allegedly came to the residence to take a puppy which belonged to one of the victims. Police say an argument ensued, the suspect brandished a knife.
The victims had non-life threatening injuries and received medical treatment. The dog is okay.
Police say the suspect left the scene. Saint Louis County’s Deputy Thorne and K9 Thor tracked him down to a residence on the 100 block of 2nd Avenue South in Virginia.
Police got a search warrant and arrested the suspect without incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
