Volunteer firefighters respond to cabin fire in Fredenberg Township

On Friday, Sept. 13th, around 7pm, a passerby reported a cabin fire near Taft Rd. in Fredenberg Township. The Fredenberg Fire Department and St. Louis County Deputies responded to the scene. 

The responders on the scene identified the cabin fire was at a Boy Scout camp. Both the cabin and a shed were on fire, and the buildings were determined to be unoccupied. 

The interim CEO of the local Boy Scouts of America commented on the fire. He stated that no one was scheduled to be on the property on this date. As a precautionary measure, a State Fire Marshal Investigator was called to the scene to investigate. 

Assisting agencies included the Canosia Fire Department, the Gnesen Fire Department, and the St. Louis County Rescue Squad.
