Wednesday evening fire claims home near Virginia

Around 5:20p.m., crews responded to reports of a house fire in the Lake Leander area, north of Virginia. According to the Northland Firewire, The Pike-Sandy-Britt, Cook, and Kinney-Great Scott fire departments were dispatched to the 9500 block of St Louis County Road 65 to find a home engulfed in flames.

It is reported that no one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. The home was a total loss and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
