West Duluth library celebrates enhancements
Neighborhood public libraries are essential to the daily lives of many of us. And the library in West Duluth is celebrating some much needed renovations.
The library foundation raised over $30,000 to fund updates to the West Duluth branch and at a community celebration Monday evening, branch supervisor Lori Crocker told us she was thrilled that so many people donated and came to celebrate.
“We’ve always felt loved here. But the bigger community showing up for West Duluth is amazing. Having people representing across Duluth coming just to celebrate together really makes us feel like we’re seen and that everybody’s excited for us and rooting for us.”
There is a new service desk, two new self-service posts, new computers and new furniture that blends into the library better.
The West Duluth library is located at 5830 Grand Avenue.
