The City of Duluth is simplifying their snow emergency policy, and now it will affect every street that have alternative side parking.

If there is a snow emergency called, vehicles will no longer need to move to amnesty lots.

Now, when a snow emergency is called, which will happen at 4pm or earlier and will be effective until 8pm that same day, vehicles will stay on the schedules side of the street until snowplows remove the snow from the opposite side.

Then, once snow is removed, vehicles will need to be moved between 4PM and 8PM to the cleared side until snowplows return to clear the remaining snow.

Once the street is completely cleared, vehicles can return to the scheduled side.
