Wild State Cider hosts the 4th annual Wild Santa 5k Fun Run
Wild State Cider hosts their 4th annual Wild Santa 5K Fun Run on Saturday, December 9th. More than 500 Santa raced through Lincoln Park head to toe in their red suits.
There was even a 1/4 mile race for kids 8-years-old or younger could register for a free Reindeer Run! Everyone attending were welcome to some post-race cider at the after party featuring live holiday music.
Allison Longley the Co-Owner of Wild State Cider said compared to last year, they really lucked out with the weather.
“It’s mostly just a fun run where a lot of people who are runners, people from Grandmas and also just people who want to come and walk and just enjoy seeing a bunch of people in Santa suits. It’s just a fun community event.”
Longley also said they don’t make much money from the event, but it’s about bringing people together enjoying the holidays.
“This is the biggest year yet. We do this every year and we’re we’re looking forward to years to come.”
The Duluth Police Department also reminded folks roads are now open after being closed for the Wild Santa 5K Fun Run. The roads reopened around Noon.
