Wired Whisker’s ribbon cutting goes purr-fectly
The Northland’s first Cat Cafe, The Wired Whisker, is set to open on Friday, pending an inspection.
Before their public opening, they hosted a ribbon cutting with the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce and a soft opening, pun intended, for friends and family.
Here’s what WDIO learned about the experience: You can spend time with adoptable rescue cats and enjoy coffee and treats at 1823 E Superior Street in the Endion neighborhood of Duluth. There are two distinct areas of the space dedicated to each activity.
Victors aged 12 and up can book a cat lounging experience online. Additionally, there is a 1 to 2 adults-to-1 child safety ratio in place for the cats.
Visitors can also book a private cat lounge visit- the experience is available for ages 8 and up for their gathering.
“I am thrilled to bring Wired Whisker to Duluth!” says Misha Smith, Owner of Wired Whisker. “Our mission is to create a community space where people can unwind, connect, and enjoy the company of cats. Whether you are a student missing your pet, someone who can’t have animals at home, in search of your next furry family member, or looking for a unique venue for a meeting or study group, Wired Whisker is the perfect spot.”
Guests can make reservations for the Exclusive Cat Lounging room now. Owner Misha Smith says there will be 6 – 10 adoptable rescue cats from Animal Allies and Pet Haven of MN.
Smith adds, “At Wired Whisker, our mission is to help find safe and loving homes for as many rescue cats as possible by providing a welcoming space for humans and adoptable cats to bond. We believe that cats have the power
