Zeitgeist’s first kids camp to perform in Hartley Nature Center
This month, Zeitgeist hosted its first kids camp, adding a performance of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” to their inaugural theater season. The play is taking place outside at Hartley Nature Center.
The Shakespeare play is described as, “Love in its many forms. A story of confusion. With fairies. Step out of the black box with us for an all-ages, immersive theater experience in the woods of Hartley Nature Center. Featuring a cast of kiddos who participated in our week-long acting camp!”
The shows are free, but a $10 donation is suggested to support Zeitgeist’s mission to provide accessible theatre to all.
Mary Fox says, “We are just having the most joyful, wonderful time. These kids are so incredibly passionate. They’ve done everything from learning their lines. We have fight choreography, and they’re all sort of costuming themselves and each other. And it’s just been this really incredible collaboration with these incredible teenagers in our town. And I’m so proud of them. We are so proud of them.”
Shows run at 7 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at Hartley.
