Two-car accident in Finlayson injures four

Authorities responded to a two-vehicle accident in Finlayson on the afternoon of September 29.

According to reports, a Ford truck was traveling west on Highway 18 through Finlayson just before 1:45 p.m. when the driver attempted to make a left turn. The Ford hit a Honda Civic coming the other way on Highway 18, causing several injuries.

The Honda was carrying four occupants, three of them children. All four were transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities say the driver of the pickup was not injured. Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the accident.

Responding agencies include the Minnesota State Patrol, Finlayson Fire and Essentia Ambulance.
